  1. Hi, I enjoyed your video. I have a question for you though. I have an older M91/30 Mosin Nagant that I custom fitted a weaver type rail to the rear sight leaf using roll pins. I installed adjustable set screws forward of the rear sight and one just in front of the receiver. My question is: The weaver 4-12×50, is this a good scope for hunting at say 50 yards or less? This scope seems to have LER, I checked one out in a retail store, at least 8", which I may need. Thanks in advance.

  2. If you’re hunting at 50 yards, need that much eye relief and like Weaver products, I would recommend the Weaver 4×28 Classic Scout Scope – Weaver Riflescope (product code: WR-RS-849417). The parallax is set at 50 yards and the eye relief is 9”. Higher magnifications at close range are going to give you a very narrow field of view.
