Sweet Child O’ Mine – Guns N’ Roses (Janet Devlin Cover)

She’s got a smile that it seems to me Reminds me of childhood memories Where everything was as fresh As the bright blue sky. Now and then when I see her face She takes me away to that special place And if I stare too long I’d probably break down and cry. Oh, woah, oh sweet child o’ mine Oh, woah, oh sweet love o’ mine. She’s got eyes of the bluest skies As if they thought of rain I hate to look into those eyes And see an ounce of pain. Oh, woah, oh sweet child o’ mine Oh, woah, oh sweet love o’ mine Oh, woah, oh sweet child o’ mine Oh, woah, oh sweet love o’ mine. Where do we go? Where do we go from here? Where do we go, sweet child o’ mine Where do we go? Where do we go from here? Where do we go, sweet child o’ mine.

  1. This cover is amazing .. When GnR first released it, I felt incredibly energized listening to it. Janet, your cover has me in in goosebumps!! (and nah, no need to be more hardcore, the harp matched perfectly with your voice!) This is easily in my Top 10 favorite covers that I've ever heard. <3

  7. Not a fan of guns 'n' Rose's but love your cover. You have such a cute and sweet voice. And ABSOLUTELY LOVE the accent. I'm a sucker for a woman with an Irish accent. 😉

  8. A band you probably never heard of, Stone Sour, it's the singer from Slipknot Corey Taylor's other band, I recommend Bother, Through Glass, Zzyzx Rd, Hesitate

  9. Just sayin Hello Janet and wishig ( to God ) you well … Ur great. But Hes greater who made you great !!! 😊🐼

  10. You mind doing Full of Grace by Sarah McLachlan? That one's one of my favorites and your absolutely amazing voice would do it really fine. Just asking.

  11. I love your voice and my wife sang along with you and you both sound great together now all I have to do is to get her to practice more. 😊 Subscribed & Notified fan. ❤

  12. After I saw you on XFactor yesrs ago I still cannot believe how beautiful your voice is. The breaks and falls are amazing, they are the sounds of falling in love and having your heart broken.

  13. You are bloody great girl! Keep at it! 'I'd like to see you do Ed Sheeran's 'I don't care'. Sock it to 'em, no-one's got a voice like yours.

  14. No, you do not need to be hard core. What is the point of performing a song exactly the same as the original artist? You voice is beautiful, and the pace and backing you choose always compliments your voice. Some cover versions are awful, your covers are always fantastic.

  15. I'm 2nd generation Irish American, gramps was born in Ireland and immigrated here but I've never been…but somehow that Irish lilt stirs something in me. It feels like brisk winds, green fields, and open skies. When I was young I had older relatives that still spoke Gaelic and had the accent, I guess something still in me remembers it on some level. I gotta make it back to the homeland someday.

  16. Your X factor version of this song was and is the best version ever by anyone ever of this song. Nice try with this new version but to my opinion your x factor version was the best.

  17. THANK YOU! for finally doing this song! It was my favorite from your X Factor shows. And you have made it even better!

  18. I was hesitating to click on that as I couldn‘t believe that this would work. But…gosh…I‘m blown away! Absolute beautiful version of this great song. Well, well done Janet! 👏

  19. Look I'm not trying to be mean. but.
everytime I'm heart is breaking. her songs sing my pain away but when I am happy. They are really boring. If i were her I would use that to my advantage

  20. This is such a cool rendition of the Greatest Rock Song of 1988, I was recovering from back surgery at my parents house when this came out on MTV like many bands my whole life I knew who had it telling my mother these guys will be BIG GNR need I type more…Thanks, Love the N Ireland Accent endearingly sweet….

  21. Omg, I think that was the week they were like "oh, do you have the x-factor, you're so shy" some crap like that and you totally shut them up and told them to you it was about the music and staying true to yourself. I remember screaming at the TV "SHOW EM GIRL!" been a supporter of yours ever since. <3

  22. This song is where your voice needs to be………. dispose of the contrived nonsense and find a band that will make your amazing voice.
