Remington Model 700 243 Hunting Rifle Gun Review

Remington Model 700 243 hunting rifle shooting the remington model 700 243 caliber favorite hunting rifle hi it’s AlaskaGranny today I want to share with
you my all time favorite hunting rifle it’s a Remington Model 700 243 Caliber centerfire this gun is an older model 1960’s and I have had many years of very successful hunting with this it’s lighter weight it weighs 9.2 pounds even with things that I added on to it and so it
makes it easy to carry easy to shoot it’s lighter and it’s very accurate I have had very fun trips with this gun I have used this to take caribou deer mountain lion bobcat and exercised coyotes at 325 yards they wouldn’t stand still so one of the things I have on here is it Redfield 3 by 9 Scope I have been using these clear scope caps and they are completely satisfactory because this one
won’t stay down this one has been lost I put them on
several times so I am in the process of selecting something else to
protect my scope I have a Bipod on the front that helps you make longer shots you
simply flip these down and you can extend these if you want and it helps you steady your rifle to make your longer shots which is very helpful when it’s not in use simply push these buttons fold it up and you’re ready to go this is gun that is it’s a common caliber and so it’s easy to get ammunition which handy because if it is something you want to use a lot you want a caliber that’s readily available let me show you a few of the other features of this rifle the safety is
here back is unsafe and when you push it
forward it’s ready to fire this can’t be bumped it is hard to do which means I’ll
never make a mistake it has a bolt action it holds 4 bullets and you insert them here one
at a time there is a button right here that allows you to
remove the bolt to quickly unload push this button
if you’re looking for a hunting rifle you want something that the ammo is
readily available its lighter weight and extremely accurate look for the Remington 700 243 centerfire you will have so much fun and very successful hunts with the Remington 700 please subscribe AlaskaGranny channel alaskagranny.com

  1. great video, I love when you share your opinions, you seem well versed in many outdoor areas from living up so close to nature

  2. I own that same model rifle and have taken many whitetail deer in NC. Mine was purchased in 1992. Glad to see you enjoy yours. Can't help with those butler creek scope covers…I gave up on them too. I just use their bikini cover.

  3. Nice rifle. It uses the Mauser action as most hunting rifles have used for many years, especially in the past. Even the magazine drop is the same. Strange it only holds 4 shells. Mine hold 5. That's a nice scope but the covers can be replaced easily with a set that are held together and pulled over front and back.
You are very well versed in many topics. You must have led an adventuresome life.
    Great video.

  4. Classic rifle for a classy lady 🙂 I shoot .223 and .308 from the newer SPS 700 but I need to invest in some quality scopes. Unfortunately in Rochester NY there aren't ranges long enough to test your true skills with a center fire.  I miss the forests of the Catskills in NY, watching your videos of Alaska makes me so jealous! I'd love to move there!

  5. Hi,
I have the same scope caps. The reason the front one doesn't stay down could be due to the fact that it is not pushed onto the scope all the way. I had the same problem. Might be worth checking out.

  6. AFTER THE HS SILENCED ARMY PISTOL,
    SHE'S WITH A GROOVE-BARREL RIFLE NOW. WHAT A "STANDARD" GRANNY…
P.S:NEVER HURT THE ANIMALS, PLEASE. (I HUNTED SO MUCH THEN REPENTED NOT TO KILL ANY LIVING BEING 20 YRS AGO AND I HAVE HAD MORE FUN OUT OF SHOOTING SINCE THEN)
