Paedophile Richard Huckle ‘knifed to death with weapon made from toothbrush’


 One of the UK’s worst paedophiles was strangled and stabbed in jail with a makeshift weapon possibly fashioned from a toothbrush, it is tonight claimed  Richard Huckle, who was given 22 life sentences for abusing up to 200 Malaysian children, died at HM Full Sutton in East Yorkshire on Sunday afternoon  The warped 33-year-old was strangled with some sort of bandage, the BBC has now reported  Paul Fitzgerald, the prime suspect, is himself serving a jail sentence for an attack on a woman as she walked her dog  The man, from Northern Ireland, has been placed in isolation pending investigation of murder He has not been arrested or charged.  An insider told The Sun after Sunday’s killing: “There was blood everywhere    “The air ambulance was called in but by then it was too late.  “It was a targeted attack – there was no chance of saving him ”  Huckle’s trial at the Old Bailey in 2016 heard he abused children aged between six months and 12 years, between 2006 and 2014 The grim offences were carried out as Huckle  voluntary work.  He had more than 20,000 indecent pictures and videos of his assaults  The freelance photographer, from Ashford, Kent, tried to make a business out of his abuse by crowd-funding the release of the images using the dark web  The Old Bailey judge sentencing him described the 60-page manual as a “truly evil document”  Judge Peter Rook added Huckle’s sentence reflected the “public abhorrence” over his “campaign of rape”  National Crime Agency officials arrested Huckle at Gatwick Airport in December 2014, following a tip-off by Australian authorities
