Man With Gun Robs Two Convenience Stores


A man holds up two businesses at
gunpoint in El Paso’s Mission Valley. Detectives from the El Paso Police
Department are asking for your help in identifying this violent robber through
the Crime Stoppers, “Crime of the Week.” On Wednesday, January 1, 2020, at 11:16 p.m., a
man ran into the 7-Eleven store located at 7949 Knights, and jumped over the
counter. The man threatened the store’s employee with a handgun and demanded
that she opened the cash register. The suspect took cash, lottery tickets, and
cigarettes. The following day, at 8:21 p.m. the same
suspect robbed Ivy’s grocery at 7288 Alameda, also using a handgun. The suspect
fled the scene in an early 2000’s model Ford Explorer. The man is described as
Hispanic, 5’8″ in height with a large build, and was
wearing a gray hooded shirt, a dark colored jacket, dark colored pants, and
athletic shoes. In one case he was wearing a bandana, and in another a ski
mask. Anyone with any information on the identity of this robber should call
