CS:GO Quick Tips – How to Reduce Weapon Movement

If you didn’t know, you can reduce the weapon
movement while running, crouching or walking. I’ll show you how to change it right after
this promotion with HyperX. This time I want to show you one of their
keyboards known as the Alloy Elite with its beautiful RGB lighting. You can also customize each key’s lighting

Maxim here! The weapon movement that you’re seeing right now is known as bobbing. If you’re using my config you should already
have the lowest bobbing settings possible, but I’m still going to talk about them and
show you what they do. Lowering the bobbing settings can help you
focus, it can be less distracting because of all the movement, it also looks more jittery
when having it set to high, and most importantly you’re allowed to change the bobbing cause
it’s normal commands in the game. So let’s start with cl_bob_lower_amt, this
is how much the viewmodel lowers when running, default value is 21, highest value 30 and
lowest value 5. This is a personal preference but I like to
use 5 as it lets me see more of my viewmodel. Next command is cl_bobamt_lat (or at least
that’s what I think it stands for). This is how much the viewmodel moves side
to side when running, default value is 0.4, highest value 2 and lowest value 0.1. Having it on 2 looks really goofy, and I obviously
recommend that you lower it. I have mine on 0.1. Next command is almost the same, and it’s
cl_bobamt_vert, this is how much the viewmodel moves up and down when running, default value
is 0.25, highest value 2 and lowest value 0.1. Having this on 2 looks just yeah, it looks
really messed up. I use 0.1. Next command is cl_bobcycle, and it controls the frequency at which the viewmodel bobs. I remember using this command in 1.6 which
is why I’m totally aware of it’s existence in this game. However, I chose to keep it untouched since
I can hardly see or feel any difference. Maybe it doesn’t do anything. Anyway the default value is 0.98, and once
again the highest value is 2 and lowest value 0.1. Now for the last two commands, cl_viewmodel_shift_left_amt and you have the same thing for the right side amount. Default value for left is 1.5, highest value
2, and lowest value 0.5. Default value for right is 0.75, highest value
2, and lowest value 0.25. This basically controls the crouching animation
of the viewmodel. I use the lowest settings but it doesn’t really
make much of a difference. So that’s all the commands for reducing weapon movement and I hope you learned something new. If you compare the highest bobbing settings
with the lowest bobbing settings this is the difference. That’s the video, I hope you enjoyed it, let

  2. I play CSGO on all low settings and my nvidia settings are set for the best preformence but I only get about 130 fps max. I can play FO4 on the highest settings with about 70-80 fps Any ideas why or suggestions why its low on csgo? Someone said overclocking might help. My pc specs
    AMD Ryzen 5 1500x Quad-Core Processor

    16 GB RAM

    GTX 1070

  4. I think Nadeking had a tips video which said that after crouching, the viewmodel is more visible on the left than on the right….I wonder if reducing the last 2 values affect this….. 3kliksphillip please investigate

  5. Btw bro do you experience like your arm locking when trying to hit a moving enemy from side to side? Even when your arm and wrists are not in locked positions. Or like a feeling like they are locked. I keep having those when i play outside my home pc.

The 2nd and 3rd cammands can be fatal in clutch situation when ur using a scoop / pre-scooping so that enemy can't feel yr presence so when when ur using the sniper's scoop and lowest possible Bob sets the scoop would be 99% stable wich give u pts blank accuracy tnx maximuh this is already useful for me and I clutched once using this 😀

  13. when i walk my weapon moves up a bit, what command is it to change that? i did everything in this video to the lowest on all, but the weapon as soon as i walk moves up/to the right a bit, any help?

  14. Hey, im very confused like, when im watching csgo highlights on youtube, people's weapons don't even move while fully spraying. How do we make our guns stand still while spraying, please do a tutorial if possible 🙂

  16. You can also stop bobbing use a workshop map called crashz viewmodel generator and there should be a "viewmodel movement in the top right corner your can change the movement from default to lowest and highest
