Oh man, Okay….hey! —
Welcome to TTL Media or Tim’s Take Live … —
I am not Wendy Williams! —
You weren’t expecting that one! Boy! —
I’m bad. I’m so mean. I don’t know why you guys deal with me…*Laughs
— I’m bad for you. I’m going to rub off on you
and make you mean as well. —
I’m your host Tim Black. —
I hope you like controversy because the story I’m about to tell you is
— controversial in nature
— It involves the robbery of a Waffle House
back in 2012 —
This happened in Spartanburg, SC —
two assailants walked in brandishing firearms and harassed patrons at
— the Waffle House
— Now, one of the assailants was a 19 year old
— His name was Dante Williams…
— notice I said was
— The other assailants name is Juwan Craig he
is 30 —
Now, in this Waffle House they didn’t just ask for the money
— at the cash register like you see in the movies
— No…they walked around asking patrons to
empty their pockets —
and purses and hand over their cellphones and get on the
— floor at Gun Point!
— Scaring the hell out of these people
— Now, one person in that restaurant that night
wasn’t going for it —
his name was Justin Harrison. —
Justin Harrison had a CWP —
that’s a Concealed Weapons Permit —
Like I said, he wasn’t going for it —
There was one point, Dante Williams walks towards Mr. Harrison
— Mr. Harrison sees an opportunity takes out
his gun and shoots —
Dante! Shoots him twice. —
Dante Williams is dead almost instantly. —
A struggle between Harrison and Juwan breaks out
— Juwan is able to escape, but he’s caught the
next day —
charged with two counts of armed robbery, several counts something
— else…anyway he’s going to be serving 30
at least for the next 24 years before he even has the possiblity
— of parole
— You with me?
— The reason I’m doing this story is becuase
— footage of that night has been released
— the facts are now up for dispute
— All right, what happened is this:
— Harrison said he had to shoot the kid because
he was —
afraid and the kid turned towards him, well it turns out
— maybe the kids back was turned, I’m not really
sure, but —
that’s what the parents of Dante Williams are saying
— They’re saying
— “Did you have to shoot my baby?”
— Oh, have you heard this before folks?
— Haven’t you heard it before?
— Oh, did you have to shoot my baby?
— My baby was a good baby!
— My baby never did nothing to nobody!
— My baby never hurt nobody!
— My baby was never in trouble!
— Until that day!
— Until that day he walked into that Waffle
House with a gun and scared —
the living daylights out of innocent people for no reason.
— No fault of their own.
— He walked in armed with a loaded firearm.
— I know I may sound like a guy with no heart.
— I may sound like I don’t have a soft bone
in my body —
but I do, I do have empathy… —
it’s just that I have empathy for people who actually are victims
— I don’t have them for robbers who go into
brandishing weapons and scaring the hell out of innocent people
— who’re just trying to enjoy some waffles,
pancakes, scrambled —
eggs, grits, sausage…what have you —
Oh, and don’t forget the bacon. —
You may say your son’s a victim or your cousin —
I understand that —
but in my eyes and the eyes of the rest of the world
— or the rest of the country of people with
intelligence…no he was not a victim. —
He was an assailant. —
He was a perpetrator and perps get shot —
Don’t want to get shot. Don’t rob Waffle Houses. —
banks or anybody. —
That’s the lesson for today. —
Take it with you. —
I don’t want to make this a black and white issue
— it’s not.
— It’s a grieving family unable to see the truth
and reality —
That’s how I see it folks —
You let me know how you see it —
Let me know what you think about the new background with no Green Screen
— it’s something new I’m doing because hey
— some people were complaining and Ilisten
— Thanks for watching I’m Tim Black this has
been crazy news. —
Next time people —
My baby! My baby was a good baby! —
Good baby don’t rob people, okay? —
